A spokesman for former President Bill Clinton has confirmed that his daughter Chelsea Clinton, 29, is engaged to her former boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. She is also the daughter of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The couple met while attending Stanford University. Mezvinsky is an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and is currently studying politics and management at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Chelsea and Marc have decided to announce the good news via e-mail: "Sorry mass email, but we would like to wish everyone a happy belated thank you, I too wanted to share that we are committed, nor do we were married last summer, despite stories to the contrary, we are looking at next summer and hope all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea and Marc.

The groom-to-be is the son of former congressman Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Congress Woman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn.
