Poems on Friendship

Friendship is not always easy to describe. Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language is not as innovative, but has great potential to differentiate meaning. Certainly, love is one of those opportunities. And then there is also friendship.

Instead of different words, but we stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood. Close friend. Trusted friend. Dear friend. But if you use adjectives or other words that might have denied that means almost infinite word so simple.

Friends are special people. We can not choose our family and we are very limited in the number of them anyway. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single partner. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

A BEST FRIEND

A Best Friend
Is Always There;
Whether You Need Advice;
Or A Pep Talk;
Or Even A Shoulder To Cry On.
A Best Friend
Listens With Her Heart
And Is Always Honest With You;
Even Though The Truth
May Not Be
What You Want To Hear.
A Best Friend
Knows All Your Secrets;
Understands Your Fears
Shares Your Dreams.
A Best Friend
Never Stops Believing In You
Even If You Give Up
On Yourself.
You Are
Thaat Kind Of Friend
To Me.
And No Matter What Happens;
You Always Will Be.
You Are My Best Friend....
My Forever Friend.
